The race was held on Saturday, 25th October 2024 on what turned out to be a pearler of a time. In the lead up to the race, Dunedin adn surrounding areas were hammered by gale force winds which played havoc with the sea. The forecast wasn't looking great with a small potential window when the race could be held. Luckily, on arrival, we were greeted with 4-5ft surf, clean inshore and a very mild westerly.
St Clair SLSC would like to thank the organisers for running the event, the event guards for keeping everyone safe, the board paddlers that assisted the swimmers, and then all the competitors for supporting this event
